We are staying in a private house, and booked the York hotel for the steak night on Thursday. I can say it was cooked to perfection, the whole meal was served by lovely waitresses. And the manager Bee, took the time to sit with us for a short while. As they had a private reservation, and a full coach load of visitors. BEE is an absolute credit to this hotel, professional, courteous and adds her personal touch to everyone who stays and dines there. The hotel was clean and inviting. Would highly recommend this hotel. Food amazing, service amazing. 5
A big thank you to Bea and her friendly team. Especially during a game of hilarious Charades wonderful memories for our family to cherish. Excellent location with a multi storey car park behind hotel a very short walk away which is securely locked at night. We dropped off bags beside hotel. Be quick as traffic wardens lurk. The hotel is clean and run well. Our room was quiet with a very comfortable king size bed and clean cotton sheets super soft plush towels and nice toiletries. Traditional English breakfast 7 items unlimited toast and butter jam tea or coffee. This is a lovely gem of hotel that punches well above its 3 stars. Thanks again Bea xx In memory of “ Super Dave” a wonderfully loving and proud family man. Rest in peace.
I cannot praise this hotel and staff highly enough. What a lovely location, so close to everything you need. Staff absolutely falling over themselves to help with whatever you require. Breakfast absolutely delicious, didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day as it was so filling and tasty. Can highly recommend the steak night as the rump steaks were cooked to perfection. Will be booking again for next year and most definitely taking the grandchildren with us next time as they will love the attention and the attractions. One little complaint was that we couldn’t find the owner when we left to thank him and his staff for a wonderful, delightful fantastic stay, see you next year.
We just had a fabulous stay for 4 nights as part of coach tour. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They knew their guests and their needs. The room had a good accessible shower and heating. Food was great and good portions. Good service. The location was perfect: opposite the pier and shops just around the corner. The manager, B was very approachable. Would definitely stay here again.
